Tool Live Recording History

1992 - 1993 - 1994 - 1995 - 1996 - 1997 - 1998 - 1999 - 2001 - 2002

Welcome to the Tool Live Recording History, the most complete documentation in existence. It is the result of merging my page with the one run by Vikas Bhatia, which some of you may have seen before. We have both gone to great lengths to obtain the most accurate source information possible, so take some time to compare it to your recordings and see if you need to make any changes.

If you have ANY info to add, no matter how small, please email us. You don't have to be a taper, filmer, or even a trader, as long as you know something about a live Tool recording that we don't. Also, please feel free to direct people here that will either be able to contribute to or benefit from it.

This site began as a way for tapers/filmers to easily find and contact each other, but has become more of a reference for everyone. However, you can still have your email, web address, and/or name posted with your recording info if you want, so that feature will remain. I also run a Tool-Tapers email group for tapers to easily contact each other for 1st gen copies. If you'd like to join, follow the link on this page. Oh, and if anyone's curious how Tool feels about fans collecting live recordings, check out this transcript of a conversation between Maynard and a fan.

To avoid any confusion, keep in mind that this site is not a complete history of Tool's concerts, only those dates with known recordings. For a tour journal, please visit www.distortiononline.com, another site I work on. Another thing, I don't own all these shows, but have quite a few, check my trading page if you're interested in any.

Updates:
Doh, I posted the confirmed BBC radio show date but forgot to switch the day and month from the British format. To be clear, it was recorded on March 2, 1994.
